The Hyundai Veloster Turbo has just received Kelley Blue Book's (KBB) 5-Year Cost to Own Award in the Sporty Compact Car category. The Veloster Turbo came out on top over competitors such as the Mazda Speed3 and Honda Civic Si. The award was presented to Hyundai on Feb. 6 at the Chicago Auto Show.
KBB's 5-Year Cost to Own Awards are based on data collected by KBB and honor those cars that have the lowest projected ownership costs over the initial five-year ownership time frame. Their data accounts for almost all expenses that come with owning a vehicle, including depreciation, projected fuel cost, finance and insurance fees, maintenance and repairs, and state fees.
"The Veloster Turbo's impressive fuel economy and low depreciation, coupled with Hyundai's 10-year, 100,000 mile warranty, make it an excellent choice for those looking for a fun, compact sports car," said Kelley Blue Book Vice President of Vehicle Evaluations Dan Ingle in the Hyundai press release.
