The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) just awarded the 2014 Hyundai Veloster with a five-star crash test rating, their highest rating. This is the Veloster's first time being rated under NHTSA's more challenging test and five-star rating system.
"The Veloster nameplate was designed to bring a new, unconventional look to the subcompact car segment without compromising occupant safety," said Scott Margason, director of Product Planning at Hyundai Motor America in the Hyundai press release. "Through the employment of high-tech safety systems like Electronic Brake-force Distribution and Brake Assist and the use of high-strength, yet lightweight materials during construction, we are able to deliver a package that is unique, but safer than ever."
The Veloster is having a great year already! It was just awarded Best Value in America by Vincentric last week. Check out our 2014 Veloster showroom page today!

Hyundai Veloster Wins Best Value in America Award from Vincentric
The 2014 Hyundai Veloster just received the honorable "Best Value in America Award" in the subcompact category from Vincentric. Vincentric is an automotive research firm that focuses on automotive cost of ownership; its Best Value Awards measure this by looking at depreciation, fees and taxes, financing, fuel, insurance, maintenance, opportunity cost and repairs.
"The Veloster provides great value in the highly competitive subcompact segment," said Vincenctric President David Wurster in the Hyundai press release. "It's priced right and has real advantages in terms of depreciation, insurance costs, fuel economy and, due to an excellent warranty, repair costs, its total cost to own is much lower than one would expect from a subcompact at its price point."

Hyundai Intrado Concept
The "relevant to consumers" and "far more than a styling exercise" Hyundai Inrado fuel cell concept caught the eyes of many at the Geneva Motor Show as a concept vehicle that may well be making its way to production.
The Intrado has a focus on meeting the needs of those with busy lifestyles, according to the press release, and it has an intense but attractive style. We can assume the production model would be less abrasive in looks, but would hopefully hang onto the 375 fuel-cell range that the concept version boasts.
We'll keep you in the loop as always with any updates on any production models coming our way! In the meantime, take a look at our current lineup on our digital showroom here.
