Hyundai Elantra Gets Third Award for Car of the Year

The Hyundai Elantra just scored its "hat trick", being named the Car of the Year in South Africa. It already has the North American Car of the Year and Car of the Year in Canada under its belt. The Elantra leads its class with an impressive 40 MPG, but the best part of course is that it starts at just $15,345.

If that's not enough to want one, I don't know what is! The Elantra is clearly making its waves worldwide. Fortunately, we have a number of them here at Burlington Subaru. Check out our new and used Elantra inventory online, or stop by today!

Hyundai: Check Out the Most Environmentally-Friendly Vehicle on the Planet (i20)

Hyundai unveiled another vehicle at the Geneva Motor Show - the i20. According to Hyundai it will be the most environmentally-friendly conventional-engine vehicle on the planet. It only generates 84 g/km of CO2, while the Prius C (not the weakest planet-saving competition) gives off roughly 110 g/km.

Unfortunately it's not available in the US - maybe someday. But for now we can enjoy the pictures from afar.

Check out the full coverage from autoblog or head to our website to view the attainable Hyundai models. Of course we don't have the i20 (again, maybe someday) but we do have the classic new and used Hyundai models we all know and love.

Why Distractions are Good for Creative Thinking

A study was recently published featuring distractions and their impact on creative thinking. The study found that "your optimal productivity times are actually suboptimal when you need to use your brain in new and different ways," according to the article on Lifehacker.

This is because when people are focused, they have more difficulty thinking outside of the box, but when slightly distracted your mind is more open to new ideas. Participants in the study were more successful in solving insight problems when slightly distracted than they were when focused.

So if you're having writers block, or can't come up with a solution to a problem you've been working on for a few days, try going somewhere where you have a few simple distractions to improve your creativity!

Live Photos: Hyundai i-Oniq Plug-In Hybrid

The moment you've been waiting for - the Hyundai i-Oniq has been officially released at the Geneva Motor Show, so we have more photos and details for you!

It's still just a concept, but the i-Oniq would offer a 75-mile range with a gasoline-powered generator that would produce an extra 360 miles. The two-door coupe's generator is powered by a 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine, comparable to the 107-horsepower electric motor inside it.

Not what you're looking for? That's okay. Check out our selection of new and used Hyundai inventory online.

Hyundai i-oniq Concept Photo Leaked

The Hyundai i-oniq concept isn't scheduled to be released until its debut at the Geneva Motor Show next week, but this photo was somehow leaked yesterday.

Not that I am supporting the leakage of unreleased concept vehicles, but if it's already on the Internet - I think I have an obligation to our fans!

The only information about the vehicle that's known so far is that it's around 173 inches (making it slightly shorter than the BMW 3 Series coupe), it's a serial hybrid with a displacement engine that powers a battery pack, and has a pair of motors driving the rear wheels.

When I have more information, you will too. Stay posted!

Not the Hyundai you're looking for? That's not a problem. Check out our new and used inventory online, take a look at our current specials, or stop by Burlington Hyundai at 333 Shelburne Road in Burlington.
