The 2015 Hyundai Sonata Debuts at the New York International Auto Show

The redesigned, freshly updated 2015 Hyundai Sonata made its debut today, April 16 at the New York International Auto Show. The Sonata is now in its seventh generation as a classic family sedan, but the upgraded 2015 version receives new styling that, according to the New York Daily News, gives it a "leg up... over some of its more mainstream competitors."

Other than styling, the main upgrades come in the form of technology. Both tech and safety features have been added to the new model, including an active and passive safety system. The Sonata now has blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, lane change assist and advanced collision mitigation technology.

There's also a notable (and optional) touch-screen navigation system and also optional proximity key that opens the trunk remotely. A six-speed automatic transmission is standard on all trim levels.

The 2015 Sonata will be manufactured in Alabama, and is coming to dealerships as soon as this summer! Stay tuned, we'll keep you updated when we know more about the incoming model. In the meantime, get more info on the current Sonata using our Digital Showroom here.

High school juniors and seniors can submit their report cards through midnight on April 23 to be entered into a drawing that randomly selects 75 finalists, out of those 75 finalists, one will be chosen via raffle drawing to win a brand-new Hyundai Elantra or Subaru Impreza!

If chosen as a finalist, you will receive raffle tickets based on your grade performance. For each A on your report card you receive two entries, for each B you get one more. The Hyundai Santa Fe Wins Cars.com's Best 3-Row SUV Under $40K!

Cars.com put seven popular SUVs to the test! Each vehicle was rated in several categories, those scores were combined for an overall rating, which determined the winner. The 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe took first place with a score of 800.5 points, followed by the 2014 Dodge Durango with 781.5 points, and the 2014 Toyota Highlander with 744 points.

The Santa Fe was in first place in the following categories; Worth the Money?, Interior Quality, Acceleration, Braking and Mileage. It stayed in the top three for Handling, Child Seat Test, Visibility and Tech/Entertainment.

Hyundai is releasing a series of videos on their website that shows the 2015 Genesis navigating its way through a "Blind Test Drive".
